Get to know me through what really inspires and moves me.
It's mostly gonna be about advertising, mobile technology and marketing; general trends and music.
The first big news was revealed yesterday during the CES conference in Las Vegas: The Chinese brand Huawei claimed to launch the World's thinnest smartphone.
It's name is Ascend P1 and looks pretty cool.
Should it European and American markets respectively in Spring and Summer.
The 2nd big news is related to the French market where a fourth operator: FreeMobile launched its mobile offer this morning.
The market was waiting for FreeMobile since months now; and with unlimited plans for only 19,90 euros, no doubt this will completely blow the market out.
I will be interesting to see how the big 3 operators will react in the next weeks or months.
2012 will definitely be (again) a interesting year for mobile.
The new iPhone app LocalFave is not only very well designed, it's also a great innovation, combining geolocalization and social recommendations.
Imagine you are looking for a good restaurant and would prefer to have friends recommendations rather than Yelp reviews (from people you have nothing in common with) to help you choose a place
you don't know yet.
LocalFave allows you to rate the restaurants you're going to, determine which one is your favorite one(s), and most importantly, share it with your friends, who will be able to see your reviews
and fave places.
Give it a try and stop picking the wronf restaurant!
This spot is very good as it gives very specific info about one key feature of the new phone in a nice and emotional way.
No wonder it already got 128K+ views in 4 days!
I think Google (and Samsung) are doing a good job at positioning the phone as a fun and family device with one very simple and innovative feature vs. talking about
cold technology where most of other phones are fighting.
The city of San Francisco just installed NFC stickers on 30,800 parking meter across the city.
The only ones I had an opportunity to see before were in Issy-les-Moulineaux (France).
The company, which name couldn't be more explicit, already reports 55,000 daily mobile transactions across the globe. PayByPhone is the world leader mobile
parking payment solutions provider and is operating in more than 160 cities worldwide.
The NFC technology (which allows you to make wireless payments with your smartphone) is moving fast and we can expect to see it very soon in many places such as stores, transportation etc..
Google is working hard, especially with Samsung to develop NFC compatible phones in order to extand its Google Wallet product. Rumors
keep saying that the iPhone 5 will also feature NFC.
Making a huge shift from its prior communication, the new 'Adidas-all-in' global campaign mixes all the different universes of Adidas, from
sport to fashion and street and mixes it all.
The new TVC features a pretty big amount of stars coming from all these universes across the globe.
Local initiatives will follow to support the massive global campaign.
Here is the Adidas France one, a amazing 3D building projection. Building projection is the new big thing that many brands want to try, but too little succeed
in making its content interesting.
And just for those who haven't seen it yet, here is the new global TVC. As a bonus, the soundtrack features the brand new single from Justice
'Civilization' whose new album will be released on April 1st (but that's a different story I am sure we'll talk about shortly!)
Very interesting (and embarrassing!) ad for Nike to celebrate England's 2011 Rugby Grand Slam!
The only thing is that England did not actually won the Grand Slam as they lose against Ireland in the very final game!
This ad was made by Nike and was supposed to be released if (and only if) England's team won the Grand Slam. Someone must have decided to push it live to embarrass Nike. I can't imagine that was
done on purpose and create some buzz!
Nike is an official sponsor the English Rugby team.
On March 19th, during the France vs Wales game, Societe Generale who is an official sponsor of the Rugby French league, released its new TVC promoting 'team spirit' a shared
value for rugby and the bank.
The spot, made by French agency Fred&Farid, is very well done and quite powefull. We sometimes end up with really strange spots when brands try to link them with a
sport/event the partner with. In that case, and thanks to a long partnership between the bank and the sport, the connection is very good.
